Multicomponent Subspace Chirp Parameter Estimation Using Discrete Fractional Fourier Analysis
نویسندگان
چکیده
The Discrete Fractional Fourier Transform is a useful tool for multicomponent chirp parameter estimation, however much of the current work ignores the presense of noise. In recent work, a projection-subspace approach to DFrFTbased multicomponent chirp parameter estimation was proposed, to exploit the robustness of subspace decomposition methods. This paper refines the prior projection-subspace work to overcome limitations caused by the projection preprocessing, and presents a quantitative analysis of its performance as compared to the Cramér-Rao lower bound.

Interference Concellation for Adaptive Liner Time Variant Filter by Using Frft
The time-frequency (TF) filter design of non-stationary signals such as chirp signals are studied in the fractional domain. The designed TF/ Adaptive linear time variant (ALTV) filter is implemented as a nonoverlapping Fractional Fourier transform (FRFT). Using FRFT the adaptive filter is converted into mathematical form to be included in different methods for detecting the presence of a multi ...
متن کاملJoint Estimation of Time-Frequency Signature and DOA Based on STFD for Multicomponent Chirp Signals
In the study of the joint estimation of time-frequency signature and direction of arrival (DOA) for multicomponent chirp signals, an estimation method based on spatial time-frequency distributions (STFDs) is proposed in this paper. Firstly, array signal model for multicomponent chirp signals is presented and then array processing is applied in time-frequency analysis to mitigate cross-terms. Ac...
متن کاملA New Formulation of the Fast Fractional Fourier Transform
By using a spectral approach, we derive a Gaussian-like quadrature of the continuous fractional Fourier transform. The quadrature is obtained from a bilinear form of eigenvectors of the matrix associated to the recurrence equation of the Hermite polynomials. These eigenvectors are discrete approximations of the Hermite functions, which are eigenfunctions of the fractional Fourier transform oper...
متن کاملAnalysis of Maneuvering Targets with Complex Motions by Two-Dimensional Product Modified Lv’s Distribution for Quadratic Frequency Modulation Signals
For targets with complex motion, such as ships fluctuating with oceanic waves and high maneuvering airplanes, azimuth echo signals can be modeled as multicomponent quadratic frequency modulation (QFM) signals after migration compensation and phase adjustment. For the QFM signal model, the chirp rate (CR) and the quadratic chirp rate (QCR) are two important physical quantities, which need to be ...
متن کاملEstimation of the Optimum Rotational Parameter for the Fractional Fourier Transform Using Domain Decomposition
The Fractional Fourier Transform (FrFT) provides significant interference suppression over the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) when the signal-of-interest (SOI) or interference is non-stationary. Its main limitation is estimating the optimum rotational parameter ‘a’. Current techniques choose ‘a’ that gives the minimum mean-square error (MMSE) between an SOI and its estimate. Such techniques are c...
